broken memories from the kitchen floor are our ink to write a story on a blank canvas. using something so prosaic and intimate – white crocery, plates and cups with a golden edge that have been on the table for several generations. the material carries the decades-long heritage of estonian homes (including modern made-in-china layer of time). in an intuitive collaboration of two artists – elle kannike and mariliis alev – a topographic map was formed, indicating our nordic open fields alternating with swamps and low hills.
